At the Guangzhou Auto Show that opened today, FAW Audi’s new A5L was officially released. The overall design of the new car is highly consistent with the overseas version of the new Audi A5, and it still adopts an extremely dynamic fastback design.
Looking at the front, the new car is equipped with a large front grille and a honeycomb mesh grille, and large ventilation and heat dissipation openings are used on both sides of the front enclosure. The headlight set adopts a long and narrow design, and is equipped with a dot matrix LED matrix daytime running light set inside, which can show different lighting methods according to different modes.
Looking from the side, the new car continues the dynamic fastback design of the overseas version. The shape of the rear of the new car is designed to be more layered. The through-type taillight group uses a unique programmable light source inside, which is highly recognizable when lit. The rear enclosure of the new car also adopts a more layered design. The black rear diffuser decorative panel is matched with a two-outlet exhaust layout on both sides, making the vehicle more sporty.
In terms of interior, the new car is expected to be highly consistent with the overseas version. The new Audi A5 family is the first model of the Audi brand to be equipped with an enhanced mild hybrid system (MHEV Plus), which uses 48-volt mild hybrid technology and is equipped with a propeller shaft motor (PTG), a belt-start alternator and Lithium iron phosphate batteries bring performance and efficiency to a new level. The driveshaft motor can provide up to 18 kW (24 hp) of power output to the internal combustion engine, and during deceleration, the driveshaft motor can recuperate up to 25 kW.
